My amazing story of Rinpoche’s Dzogchen Teaching

I attended The Invocation of Samantabhadra (Primordial Buddha), Dzogchen Teachings by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, 4-8 May 2012 in Singapore .

This is the miraculous way I came to know about Dzogchen Teaching by Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche. On 20 April 2012, I happened to glance at the bottom of a page in the Straits Times at a small advertisement (8x10cm) featuring Dzogchen Teaching by Rinpoche. Before that, I had never heard of Dzogchen Teaching nor Rinpoche. Something urged me to find out more, and I checked out Namdrolling’s web-site and Googled Dzogchen and Rinpoche. I began to see that the Teaching may hold some answer to what I’ve been experiencing and searching for. I decided to sign up for the retreat.

The retreat has confirmed my deepest convictions and clarified the experiences I have had. For example, I have been seeing silver-white transparent round dots bouncing against each other(like molecules in Brownian motion) in the sky when I gaze at the sky while swimming. I was curious, but thought they may be light reflecting off dust particles or some optical illusion. When Teacher Cheh described the “silver balls” that look like floaters manifesting, it suddenly dawned on me that what I’ve been seeing are just that!! Another example:I began to have spontaneous hand movements, mostly in mirror image to each other, after my yoga practice, when I’m sitting still. I’ve learnt that they are vital elements, called Mudras, incorporated in the Tun practices. It’s amazing being enlightened!
